In a hilarious moment, The Biden administration incredibly clarified that it will not give out crack pipes to junkies.
The statement concerns a $30 million grant program starting in May aimed at cutting drug use. Through the Department of Health and Human Service, the Biden administration will be providing funding to enable safer drug use for addicts. Of course, HHS is prioritizing applicants from “underserved” communities as part of Biden’s executive order “advancing racial equity.”
At least one report stated that a Health and Human Services spokesman said the kits would provide pipes for users to smoke crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and “any illicit substance.”
This week, the Biden administration denied reports that the federal government’s enabling campaign was sending out “safe smoking kits” containing crack pipes.
“They were never part of the kit,” Psaki said during Wednesday’s press briefing. “It was inaccurate reporting, and we wanted to put out information to make that clear,”
Also on Wednesday, HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra issued a statement that “no federal funding will be used directly or through subsequent reimbursement of grantees to put pipes in safe smoking kits.”
