ust as we called during last night’s livestream, Feds arrested Nekima Levy Armstrong, the ringleader of intrusive protesters who disrupted services at a Minnesota church.
Who Is Nekima Levy Armstrong?
According to Wikipedia, Nekima Levy Armstrong is a lawyer and social justice activist. Formerly the president of the Minneapolis chapter of the NAACP, she has led a variety of social justice organizations. She also campaigned unsuccessfully for mayor of Minneapolis in the 2017 election.
Levy Armstrong has been a prominent local activist in several protests concerning police actions, including during the George Floyd protests and riots. Most recently, she has claimed to be the leader of “Operation Pull-Up” which recently disrupted services at a Minnesota church because the group claimed that a pastor at the church, David Easterwood, had been working with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as an acting field director during the recent enforcement surge in Minneapolis. Videos showed dozens of disruptors chanting, “ICE out,” and “David Easterwood, out now,” as they marched through the church
Why Was Levy Armstrong Arrested?
At the time of this posting, the exact charges against Levy Armstrong are not publicly known. However, we speculate that the Department of Justice (DOJ) may have charged Levy Armstrong with violating the FACE Act.
18 U.S.C. § 248(a)(2) states that whoever ”by force or threat of force or by physical obstruction, intentionally injures, intimidates or interferes with or attempts to injure, intimidate or interfere with any person lawfully exercising or seeking to exercise the First Amendment right of religious freedom at a place of religious worship” shall be subject to up to a year imprisonment. In 2024, the DOJ filed a lawsuit against demonstrators who similarly targeted a synagogue in New Jersey.
The DOJ might also invoke Levy Armstrong with violating the Ku Klux Klan Act (42 U.S.C. § 1983.) This creates a federal cause of action when individuals conspire to deprive others of “any of the rights, privileges, or immunities, or protection, named in the Constitution.”
Our Take – Why Levy Armstrong May Be COOKED!
If you were one of the over 1,700 people who turned into last night’s livestream of Behind Enemy Lines, you would have heard us discussing the incident that occurred this past Sunday where a group of Anti-ICE protesters – and ex-CNN “journalist” Don Lemon – rolled up on a Batist church in Minnesota with the express intent of disrupting services.
Nekima Levy Armstrong, the ringleader of a group called “Operation Pull Up” expressed her group’s mission and intent for their actions prior to storming the church. As you can see in the video below posted to X, She characterizes her group as a “clandestine operation” with the intent to “disrupt” key locations that “don’t expect us to come there.”
The same video also shows her claiming to be “coming here in the power of Almighty God.”
Alrighty then.
Now here is where it gets sticky for Levy Armstrong: after the incident and the backlash from it ensued, she quickly changed her tune. All of a sudden, she and her rabble were not “pulling up” – they were worshipping.
That’s quite a change of tune!
Given the state of the federal law discussed earlier, one can all understand why Levy Armstrong backpedaled: she doesn’t want to go to jail.
Unfortunately, it looks like she self-snitched.
