A video of a parent standing up to a school board hypocrite who storms out of a public meeting dramatically sparked online outrage.
In a school board meeting in Montgomery County, Virginia, a parent addressed concerns about ischool mask mandates. The parent alleged that the board’s chair was a hypocrite for their unwillingness to follow executive orders from Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin when they faithfully followed orders from former Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam.
“We sat here last year and listened to you guys preach about Gov. Northam’s executive orders and how we must follow them. Here’s a governor who comes into office, but yet you don’t want to follow [Youngkin’s] orders”
The parent then followed up with Facebook photos of the school board hypocrite not wearing a mask. “Here’s a picture of you, right here, on Facebook with a crowd of people with no mask on,” she said before the chair blew a gasket.

Bravo to this parent for standing up to hypocrisy! But, that’s just part of the good news.
If you watched the video all the way through, then you would have heard that not all of the board were “on board” with stifling democracy. After the chair directed a police officer to escort the parent out of the building, another board member spoke up on the parent’s behalf .
“She should be allowed to say her peace,” that member said. “I’ve had to listen to people come and criticize me.” The two opposing board members then engaged in a heated exchange prompting the chair to storm out of the meeting.
Amazing.
Hypocrites getting called out left and right, and everyday people standing up for what is right means two things. First, it means that enough is enough. Second, it means that we’re in the calm before the storm.
2022 will be a year to remember.
