Buffoon of the Week Staff
In a delicious display of buffoonish irony, self-avowed democratic socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is hawking over-priced merchandise in her personal online shop.
Just as a reminder, here’s AOC’s opinion on our current economic system:
“Capitalism is an ideology of capital – the most important thing is the concentration of capital and to seek and maximize profit…so to me capitalism is irredeemable.”

Yes, an irredeemable system that has uplifted the quality of life of hundreds of millions of people to a better life.
But, maybe AOC has changed her views on capitalism. She’s now fully immersed in the system with her own online store!
I guess capitalism is not so “irredeemable” after all! I mean, just scroll through photos of these great “steals!”
This makes that whole controversy with Amazon moving into her district all come into focus, doesn’t it? Why buy from Amazon when AOC has her own gear to hawk!
Obviously, the reaction to AOC’s shop was full of hilarity.
Why pay your student loans when you can buy a $30 t-shirt demanding the end of student debt!
But never fear, AOC fans! She’s acting totes responsible.
Or is she? I mean… what are those “Green New Deal” wares really made from?

Indeed! There is too much irony to cover in one story! You have to be a real self-unaware mark for AOC’s huckstering to willingly give your money over to this grifter.
So we’re just going to laugh along with the crowd, and await your witty comments here and on our social media!
