FEC Filings reveal that the “saviors” of the Republican party known as The Lincoln Project received over $80M from Democrats, and failed to deliver any results.
The list includes political action committess (PACs) that support Sen. Chuck Schumer and so-call “dark money” PACs where the source of funds is unclear at best.
Rob Ryers, a California-based political consultant who crunches campaign numbers for a living, has this to say on Twitter:
If you’re feeling wonky, you can fact-check this Twitter sleuth’s work HERE.
As Pyers mentioned, The Lincoln Project received over a million dollars from two major Democrat PACs. They are Schumer’s Senate Majority PAC (SMP) and Majority Forward, a 501 (c) (4) nonprofit affiliated with SMP.
A big chunk of that money went towards – surprise! – operating expeditures.
And, check out this little tidbit from Pyers as well: he confirms what we all knew – the Lincoln Project plans on grifting for a long time to come.
This new information should settle the question of the Lincoln Project once and for all. They are political grifters and opportunists. Conservatives toss around the phrase “RINO” (Republican In Name Only) a lot. But, it’s apt for the Lincoln Project.
We’ll close on this nugget from Pyers.
So let’s translate this: when Pyers examined the Lincoln Project’s independent expenditures, FEC records revealed that the Lincoln Project targeted its independent expenditures against Trump and his supporters in the U.S. Senate only in specific states:
- Alaska (Sullivan)
- Montana (Daines)
- South Carolina (Graham)
- Maine (Collins)
- Kentucky (McConnell)
- North Carolina (Tillis)
- Iowa (Ernst)
These are all states that Trump won in 2016 (with Maine split between candidates).
In 2020, Trump retained all of them. And, all of those targeted Senators won re-election.
Talk about epic failure.
In the end, The Lincoln Project are failed political whores that relieved Schumer of a million dollars with zero results.
But, they want to lead the Republican Party into the future. Hard pass.
