A video of a professor telling “woke” Yale Law students to “grow up” for disrupting a free-speech panel is gaining attention.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, the Yale Federalist Society held a panel discussion on free speech. The panel included liberal atheist Monica Miller and Kristen Waggoner, a conservative promoting religious liberty. It planned to discuss and debate diametrically opposing viewpoints can find common ground on free speech issues.

Apparently, the idea was too much for over 100 students who chose to protest the event.

As can be seen, Law school professor Kate Stith, the moderator, paused the event after a student threatened Waggoner physically. Stith would have none of that. The professor reminded the students of Yale’s free speech policies that bar interfering with speakers and those listening.

In response, the protesters heckled her. She flatly told them to “grow up.”

Our Take…

You go, Professor Stith! Finally, an intellectually honest academic standing up to the “cancel culture” mob. Certainly, we should all applaud Professor Stith’s cool and firm demeanor in handling these Yale Law buffoons.

It appears that Professor Stith may have inspired the bar to confront these “Woke” Yale Law students as well. According to the Wall Street Journal, Judge Laurence Silberman of the Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit wrote the following to his fellow judges:

The latest events at Yale Law School in which students attempted to shout down speakers participating in a panel discussion on free speech prompts me to suggest that students who are identified as those willing to disrupt any such panel discussion should be noted. All federal judges—and all federal judges are presumably committed to free speech—should carefully consider whether any student so identified should be disqualified for potential clerkships.

Hon. Laurence Silberman, Court of Appeals, D.C. Circuit

BRAVO! This is the legal equivalent of “get woke, go broke!” This is how we all should respond to the vulgar left who seek to intimidate people.

Oh, the irony of shutting down an event on free speech with screaming, heckling and threatening violence. For a bunch of supposedly smart people, this was pretty dumb. Let this stand as a lesson not only to those “woke” Yale Law students, but to the “Cancel Culture” mob.

Undoubtedly, reasonable people are on to you. And, they’re not going to take it anymore!
