David Hogg DEI’d Out of His DNC Vice Chair Role

The Democrat National Committee’s (DNC) obsession with identity politics just chewed up and spit out one of their own — and the irony is delicious.

In the latest episode of Behind Enemy Lines, Gene Berardelli and Ross Galloway broke down the short-lived reign of David Hogg as DNC Vice Chair, and how the DNC’s obsession with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) rules got him booted out faster than a Biden soundbite falls apart.

Here’s the story — and the mess — in all its dysfunctional glory.

David Hogg Got Elected… Then Unelected

Back in February, the DNC elected Parkland activist-turned-political hopeful David Hogg as one of three at-large DNC Vice Chairs. Once in party office, Hogg started looking to bring reform from within, much to the dismay of DNC stalwarts like James Carville. Specifically, Hogg planned to use his organization, , Leaders We Deserve, to unseat older, long-serving Democratic incumbents in safe blue districts to infuse the DNC with younger progressives. Even DNC Chair Ken Martin warned Hogg that his dual role as a party officer and activist would undermine the DNC’s impartiality.

In the midst of this controversy, a complaint came in — and down went Hogg.

DEI Strikes Again

A Native American lawyer named Kalyn Free contested the legitimacy of Hogg’s election as vice chair that happened last February, arguing that the DNC didn’t follow its required diversity processes.

The problem is that the DNC’s rules committee report on proper voting procedures reads like stereo instructions. Apparently, the best doesn’t only win: the DNC instituted gender parity rules to the extreme. One male, one female, and one “any gender” person must be elected. The DNC’s explanation was so confusing, we’re pretty sure it violated the Geneva Convention’s ban on cruel and unusual punishment. Still, Hogg managed to win — until he didn’t.

This week, the DNC agreed with Free that it screwed up. While some think the DNC caved to DEI, others feel that the DNC is using its “Gender Balance Matrix of Doom” to oust Hogg under false pretenses.

Civil Rights Violation? Trump DOJ Trolls the DNC

Meanwhile, in a twist of cosmic satire, DOJ Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon encouraged Hogg to file a civil rights complaint against the DNC — citing DEI discrimination. The post linked to a DOJ form for reporting “illegal DEI-based discrimination.”

The troll was epic — and oddly… legally sound?

David Hogg’s Too Male, Too Pale, and Too Stale

Let’s face it: Hogg’s a straight, white, cisgender male — which, under current progressive orthodoxy, puts him near the bottom of the grievance totem pole. Even if he’s woke enough to check all the boxes, the boxes don’t check back.

And Hogg knows it. In a resurfaced Real Time with Bill Maher clip, Hogg seemed to mock the DNC’s DEI rules. You know it’s bad when your own side’s poster child sounds like he’s reading your policy with a raised eyebrow.

This whole fiasco reveals the dirty secret: the modern DNC is a coalition of warring factions that often can’t stand each other. They’re too busy checking pronouns and skin tones to function. Unity? Please.

To be fair, the Republican National Committee also has gender rules. Sooner or later, the woke mob will come for them, too.

Still, watching Hogg twist in the wind over a rule he probably championed? Priceless.

DEI Devours Its Prodigal Son

In the end, David Hogg is learning that when the mob comes for you, there’s no nuance. The DNC may have booted David Hogg now, but the buffoonery is just getting started. The DNC, the party that screams about “protecting democracy,” can’t even hold a clean internal election.
