Our new hit show, Buffoonology 101, is back! Hosts Gene Berardelli and Ross Galloway continue their weekly battle to crown the Buffoon of the Week. This time, it’s a bipartisan showdown between two partisan pros who’ve both gone viral—for all the wrong reasons. This week, it’s Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) against Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).
Here’s the Updated Standings
But first, some housekeeping: Gene (2-0)celebrated a second consecutive win, with nearly 83% of you choosing New York Attorney General Letitia James over Ross’s nominee, Senator Michael Bennet. Ross (0-2), now officially on a losing streak, jokingly accused Gene of rigging the show and called the rules biased—since Gene created and edits the series.
Gene denied Ross’s specious allegations, then flipped a coin to decide who goes first. Ross lost again. No word yet on whether Gene used a real coin!
A Bipartisan Battle of Bumbling Buffoons
This week, we bring you a contest between two politicians from opposite sides of the aisle—each caught in self-inflicted controversy. One got tangled up in their own lies (again), while the other launched into a profanity-laced tirade at a constituent—and filmed it herself, no less!
Ross Nominates Rep. Nancy Mace
In clear violation of President Reagan’s “11th Commandment,” Ross nominated the first Republican in our competition series: Rep. Nancy Mace. He labeled Mace as “unstable” and “a clown” for a public meltdown she bizarrely filmed and shared herself.
In the video, a man calmly asks Rep. Mace in a store about future town hall meetings. Mace quickly becomes agitated, begins shouting, swearing, and accusing the man of harassment—from 20-30 feet away.

She later justified her outburst by referencing her past trauma as a survivor of abuse—something Ross criticized as irrelevant and exploitative in this context.
Gene then evaluated Ross’s nominee using the show’s Sharpton Buffoonery Matrix, which is the visual representation of both the Buffoonish Nature (BuN) and Buffoonish Action Magnitude (BAM) of each nominee as compared to our lodestone of Buffoonery, the Rev. Al Sharpton. [Click here to learn how it works.]
- BuN (Buffoonish Nature): 72 (Mace completely lost the plot)
- BAM (Buffoonish Action Magnitude): 2.5 Giga-Sharptons™
Gene Nominates Sen. Elizabeth Warren
As covered earlier this week, Sen. Elizabeth Warren appeared on the Talk Easy podcast, where host Sam Fragoso asked if she regretted saying President Joe Biden was mentally fit for office.
After a stammering, stuttering, half-hearted defense, Warren loosely held her ground—but clearly struggled to keep from laughing. The best part? Fragoso calling her out with: “Senator, ‘on his feet’ is not praise. ‘He can speak in sentences’ is not praise.”
Ross had a lot of fun rating Warren’s buffoonery, and determined the following scores:
- BuN (Buffoonish Nature): 75 (A known liar delivers another whopper—with a straight face… barely.)
- BAM (Buffoonish Action Magnitude): 10.62 Giga-Sharptons™
