Tomfoolery!

Despite Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s $2.2 billion plan to upgrade their home, the NFL’s Chicago Bears blocked any possibility of staying in crime-riddled Chicago.

According to The Daily Wire, Lightfoot proposed a “Hail Mary offer” to convince the Bears to stay in an upgraded Soldier Field. However, as ESPN reported, the Bears have no intention of staying, as the organization is committed to a new field in a safer suburb of Chicago:

As part of our mutual agreement with the seller of that property, we are not pursuing alternative stadium deals or sites, including renovations to Soldier Field, while we are under contract. We have informed the City of Chicago that we intend to honor our contractual commitments as we continue our due diligence and predevelopment activities on the Arlington Heights property.

Chicago Bears

This past September, the Bears signed a $197.2 million agreement for a 326-acre property in suburban Arlington Heights. The site is 30 miles northwest of Soldier Field.

Per the Associated Press, Lightfoot remains committed to “do what I can to keep (the Bears) here in the city of Chicago and I don’t think the door has closed by any means.”

But, Lightfoot also said that the Bears have declined to meet with her office, canceling a planned meeting with city officials. “The bottom line is they’ve got to come to the table,” Lightfoot said.

Our Take…

Bye Bye, Bears!

Perhaps the reason why the Bears want to get out of Chicago is because, under Lightfoot’s “leadership”, the city sucks.

According to The Daily Wire, Arlington Heights has a median household income just over $100,000. That’s almost 40% high than Chicago’s median household income of $62,000, with 17% of the residents living in poverty. Arlington Heights also has substantially less criminal activity than crime-riddled Chicago, which is on pace to top 600 killings.

Not to mention, Lightfoot is a Buffoonish hypocrite. We have documented her antics well here for years. Remember when she allowed protesters to overrun Chicago, but used police to keep protesters away from her block? Remember when Lightfoot sowed discord by cursing out Justice Clarence Thomas in public.

No wonder “Da Bears” have one foot out the door. Lightfoot and her supporter will have to reap what they have sown.

Questions from usually friendly news outlets about a looming recession made Biden officials squirm uncomfortably.

This past weekend, Biden’s Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen appeared on NBC News’ “Meet the Press.” Host Chuck Todd asked Yellen what figure was most important to her in determining economic strength. Yellen responded:

Well, I look at all the data, and GDP will be closely watched. A common definition of recession is two negative quarters of GDP growth, or at least that’s something that’s been true in past recessions. When we have seen that, there has usually been a recession. And many economists expect second-quarter GDP to be negative. First-quarter GDP was negative, so we could see that happen, and that will be closely watched. But I do want to emphasize, what a recession really means is a broad-based contraction in the economy. And even if that number is negative, we are not in a recession now, and I would, you know, warn that we should be not characterizing that as a recession.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen

Todd pushed back on Yellen’s tap dance, claiming that the Treasury Secretary was “splitting hairs.”

Another Biden surrogate, White House Council of Economic Advisers’ Jared Bernstein, echoed Yellen’s narrative, stating on CNN that a number of measurables of economic growth were “inconsistent with recession”

You can watch both exchanges below:

Yet another Biden staffer, National Economic Council Director Brian Deese, also rejected the traditional definition of recession. Also appearing on CNN, Fox News reported that Deese stated that figures showing a second consecutive quarter of negative GDP growth are “inherently backward-looking.”

“I think the bottom line is, if you look at the labor market, if you look at what consumers are spending, what businesses and households are investing, you continue to see this resilience. But that’s no reason for complacency,”

National Economic Council Director Brian Deese

Our Take…

Yellen and the other Biden officials here are portraying traits of a Buffoon we like to call the “Agenda Gymnast“. Like a contortionist, these Biden officials squirm and twist uncomfortably to avoid an inconvenient truth. In this case, the inconvenient truth is that the economy under the Biden administration’s stewardship is tanking towards a looming recession. That’s another grim prospect in a term of several grim economic prospects like rapid inflation. Yellen and the other Biden advisers are trying to head off that grim prospect.

What better way to head that off that talk of recession than to do play a little word game? While these Biden officials squirm, they also attempt to claim to possess greater expertise than whoever is interviewing them. Don’t believe that “simple” definition of a recession, they say. We know better, they say. And then, they throw out economic jargon meant to bedazzle the average listener. That’s the attempt at mental contortion.

As Chuck Todd rightly pointed out (and wow, are we really complimenting him?), Treasury Secretary Yellen is indeed splitting hairs. Should the second quarter numbers show negative growth as many expect, the traditionally accepted definition of a “recession” would apply. Why shouldn’t it?

In the end, all the mental gymnastics may not be enough to save the Biden administration from further failure should the second quarter numbers indicate further contraction. We expect many more examples of Biden officials squirming in the future as the bad news piles on.

National Public Radio has announced that it now has a formal “NPR disinformation team”, and Republicans want to know why. Here’s the announcement from Casey Morell about NPR’s “disinformation team.”

According to Wyoming News, NPR has covered “disinformation” formally since last year, but it is now expanding to a full team this summer. The announcement led to many Republican lawmakers questioning the capability of any NPR disinformation team to actually sus out disinformation.

According to Just the News, Republican lawmakers demanded answers from NPR about this announcement. GOP members of Congress told NPR President and CEO John Lansing in a letter that “you abdicated your responsibility of earnestly reporting on a story of significant public interest” involving Hunter Biden’s questionable business transactions.

As you may recall, NPR is the same outlet that denied verification of the Hunter Biden laptop story, among others.

The letter continues, “Notwithstanding the story’s significant public interest, you willfully spread misinformation by suppressing a legitimate, verifiable story about significant political corruption within the Biden family.”

The representatives also pointed out how NPR “gave a platform to Nina Jankowicz, who advocated for the creation of the Department of Homeland Security’s Orwellian ‘Disinformation Governance Board’ without including any opposing viewpoints.”

One GOP lawmaker, Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC) even called to “Defund NPR” in respond to its announcement.

Our Take…

We share in Not The Bee’s view on NPR’s “disinformation team”:

House GOP lawmakers ask the seminal question: Given NPR’s left-wing political bias, how can an NPR disinformation team act in an unbiased a non-partisan matter?

NPR’s “disinformation team” is another example of a biased news organization seeking to shape narratives instead of reporting. Except NPR is no ordinary legacy news organization; it is a taxpayer funded legacy news organization.

We are paying for this.

Are you OK with your tax dollars going to fund this “NPR disinformation team” given its history of bias? Let us know in the comments.

A Republican congresswoman called out AOC – Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) – for what she called a “fake” arrest during an abortion protest.

On Tuesday, the far-left representative intimated being handcuffed following her arrest at a pro-abortion demonstration outside the Supreme Court. When photos reached the internet, social media widely mocked her. The mocking intensified after more photos of AOC surfaced; this time with her fist raised over her head.

Capitol Police confirmed after the protest that “nobody was handcuffed as is standard for a noncustodial arrest.”

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) was one of those who took to social media to criticize AOC’s “performative art”:

In response, AOC insisted that she was not pretending to be in handcuffs. She responded to Rep. Mace’s tweet with one of her own that contained an extra zinger at the end:

The dig at the end of AOC’s tweet refers to her prior run-un with Mace in the news. After AOC recounted her traumatic January 6th experience, Mace called her out for embellishing some details. Specifically, Mace accused AOC of sensationalizing her personal narrative, to which AOC responded by accusing Mace of silencing her.

Undaunted, the congresswoman called out AOC again, responding in another reply tweet:

The New York Post reported that AOC responded yet again, but this time, on Instagram:

“Republicans’ favorite hobby is to make conspiracy theories out of everything to distract you and keep you from talking about what’s actually important — which is the fact that they are trying to take away your right to bodily autonomy,” AOC said. “If I was faking that, why would I intentionally first pump somebody? It’s so silly.”

No word yet if AOC accused Mace of “trying to date” her.

Our Take…

The fact that Mace, a fellow congresswoman, called out AOC on her nonsense, is heartening. AOC is as fake as fake can be. From her hypocritical Florida vacation during COVID, to her online store hawking anti-capitalist wares, AOC has been reliably Buffoonish. This “fake” arrest is simply the latest manipulation. You can see even more examples here.

AOC is a leech who latched onto the larger political movement and, by doing so, has benefitted and even thrived in politics by doing little. Due to today’s political climate, AOC attained power. The more AOC gain, the more that politics becomes more about angles and optics than service. That’s probably why, other than her performances to her millions of supporters across social media, we can’t think of one single legislative accomplishment that AOC can claim.

With no real record to speak of, Ocasio-Cortez subsists like other political bottom feeders: By using her forked tongue and image to manipulate supporters.

Good for Rep. Mace for calling her out. But, if we had one criticism of her, it is that Twitter beefs makes you look childish. Going back and forth on social media will inevitably lead to additional Buffoonery.

Nonetheless, we’re pleased as punch that the congresswoman called out AOC in public for her latest buffoonish “performative art”.

A video shows an artist collective tempted New Yorkers with ten-dollar popsicles resembling famous entrepreneurs.

Reuters posted a video on Twitter about a new ice cream truck in New York’s McCarren Park. The pop-up ice cream vendor called itself “Mschfsicle Eat The Rich Popsicles” and sold frozen treats modeled after Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates and Jack Ma. The popsicles featured satirical names like “Bite Bezos,” “Suck Zuck” and “Gobble Gates.”

According to CBS News, a Brooklyn-based artist collective called MSCHF had these ice cream trucks in New York City and Santa Monica, California. Bloomberg reported at least one day when it sold out of its ten-dollar popsicles.

MSCHF’s chief revenue officer, Daniel Greenberg, said that “there are no plans to expand this” beyond a week. According to Greenberg, the project was meant to be a conversation starter lasting a week. MSCHF is known for its conversation starters.

This isn’t MSCHF’s first unorthodix troll. The group previously partnered with rapper Lil Nas X to create t “Satan Shoes” featuring a drop of human blood on custom Nikes. Nike Inc. sued over the stunt.

Other MSCHF shenanigans include scratch and sniff lottery tickets, and Sacred Seltzer, a hard seltzer allegedly produced with holy water.

Our Take…

We wholeheartedly join with this Twitter user, who says:

As witty as MSCHF thinks it is, many online agree that the joke’s on those buying these ten-dollar popsicles.

Talk about a message fail. These Buffoons at MSCHF are idiotic wanna-be culture warriors. While typical culture warriors trade fading stardom for political activism (think Alyssa Milano), these trolls seek cultural relevance by association. They partnered with Lil Nas X for one stunt. This time, they’re using the likeness of prominent billionaires.

Bless MSCHF’s collective heart, their overconfidence in their ability to spread their messages are only dwarfed by their epic fails. Look at the whole “Satan Shoes” debacle, which resulted in a legal settlement in favor of Nike.

This latest stunt is a great exercise in lesser hypocrisy. But, proving that capitalism is the best vehicle to spread an anti-capitalist message is a real self-own.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Dumb and Dumber style haircut has social media lighting up with roars of laughter.

Today, Trudeau debuted a new look with a shorter hairstyle. According to Canada’s Rebel News, a conservative outlet with no love for Trudeau:

Justin Trudeau’s new haircut is earning him unfavorable comparisons to Jim Carrey’s character in “Dumb and Dumber,” among other comparisons.

Trudeau, who already has a reputation of not being the brightest bulb in the room, is being compared to Carrey’s mentally-challenged character from the movie, in which he stars alongside Jeff Daniels.

Take a look at some of the tweets about Trudeau’s Dumb and Dumber cosplay!

Rebel News also reported other comparisons for Trudeau’s Dumb and Dumber ‘do, including Roman dictator, Gaius Julius Caesar.

Our Take…

Sorry, we couldn’t help it!

We get it. This story is certainly not the most hard-hitting news story. But we here at Buffoon of the Week! don’t do news. However, we do believe in putting out commentary to take down the high and mighty a few pegs; that can be cathartic for the soul. And, Trudeau is a prime target.

After all, Trudeau is somewhat of a narcissist. But don’t take that from us – that’s the words of someone who would know much better than us on the subject – Dr. Jordan Peterson.

Political narcissists like Trudeau are all about their image. Just look at someone like Sen. Elizabeth Warren and her 1/1027 Native American heritage for another prime example of how important image can be. This type of Buffoon typically has an inflated sense of their own importance and possess a deep need for excessive attention and admiration. But, behind their mask of extreme confidence lies a fragile self-esteem that’s vulnerable to the slightest criticism.

Sounds like Trudeau to a tee, according to most reports we see.

If we take Dr. Peterson’s opinion as true, then PM Trudeau’s Dumb and Dumber shots lampooning him has got to have Trudeau internally stewing.

A Rhode Island state senator who posted a TikTok twerking video has since claimed that she’s just “challenging norms.”

The viral video of a bikini-clad Rhode Island senator Tiara Mack has garnered over 220,000 views and caused TikTok to temporarily suspend her account.

@mackdistrict6

a promised senator thirst trap at Block Island 😈

♬ original sound – Senator Tiara Mack

But, according to the New York Post, Mack said that the video shouldn’t be such a big deal:

“My behavior on my Twitter, Instagram and TikTok are consistent with a young millennial who is in office and challenging norms,” she told the Associated Press. “I’m showing that leadership looks different and welcoming people into the many different facets of my life.”

New York Post – July 14, 2022

Yet, to many, the video is a big deal. Mack’s TikTok twerking video raised the ire of many who viewed it, including Fox News’s Tucker Carlson, who sarcastically called Mack “the next rising star in the Democratic Party.” Mack even claimed that she’s received death threats:

As you can see, Mack, a queer Black elected official has adopted the hashtag “#TwerkFor” as part of her campaign. Because from her point of view, Mack is being her “authentic self”:

I’ve struggled with the idea that in order to be respected, I have to be fully clothed and buttoned up and I have to be performing in a way that is inauthentic to myself.

Our Take…

So, this is what leadership looks like in 2022 for Democrats? Twerking for votes, cursing out Supreme Court justices and hypocritical cries for insurrection?

We have all lost the difference between getting elected and leading. Mack’s video has nothing to do with leadership, and all to do with getting elected. It is an appeal to passion and titillation, and nothing at all associated with governance.

Let’s be clear: Mack certainly does not deserve death threats. But she doesn’t deserve votes for this stunt, either. Mack’s display is completely buffoonish. She displays a combination of different Buffoonish traits. For one, her tactic smacks of narcissism; using a nasty self-image to gain support is certainly one way to go! But it doesn’t garner respect.

What’s most upsetting about Mack’s TikTok twerking video is that it’s not like she doesn’t have a brain in her head. A graduate of Brown in 2016, Mack had successfully advocated for the codification of Roe v. Wade in Rhode Island. While you may disagree with her political views, she is, in our opinion, not dumb. So she’s not over-compensating for a lack of skill.

Given that, Mack’s TikTok twerking video seems even more like a display of Buffoonish attention grabbing that diminishes the Rhode Island senator. We get that Mack doesn’t feel comfortable being buttoned up in a business suit. But, there is such a thing as dressing for success!

Let’s not push casual wear to its Buffoonish breaking point.

Elon Musk roasting Stephanie Ruhle, an MSNBC talking head, on Twitter exposed her Buffoonery in epic fashion.

It all started with the ever-snarky Musk having some fun with the recent alleged 4 Chan hack of Hunter Biden’s cloud storage. For those who missed it, the leak included some NSFW photos of Huner with some… allegedly paid female companionship.

Musk tweeted out a funny meme circulating around the interwebs.

Oh, that Elon! Such a scamp.

Apparently, MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle felt the need to chide Musk for his crass behavior.

It didn’t take long for Elon to respond.

Our Take…

Oh man.

This appears to be an escalation of some verbal pugilism between Musk and MSNBC. As the New York Post reports, Musk lashed out at NBC networks in May after a monologue from MSNBC personality Mehdi Hasan. Hassan called Musk’s attempted purchase of Twitter an “unspeakably dangerous moment” and his ownership would lead Twitter to “the far right.”

If that happens, we may look back on this week as a pivotal moment, when a petulant and not-so-bright billionaire casually bought one of the most influential messaging machines and just handed it to the far right.

Mehdi Hassan

Of course, Musk struck back, tweeting, “Same org that covered up Hunter Biden laptop story, had Harvey Weinstein story early & killed it & built Matt Lauer his rape office. Lovely people.”

Many in the general public share Musk’s sentiments about MSNBC in particular, and corporate media in general. Not only are MSNBC’s ratings in the toilet (down 33% in 2022 so far) but a recent survey showed more people completely distrust MSNBC than greatly trust the news source.

And, rightly so. After all, MSNBC is the home of such well-known media Buffoons like Mika Brzezinski, Joe Scarborough, and so many others.

But, let’s put aside the media Buffoonery; there’s another reason why Musk roasting Stephanie Ruhle is so laughable. Ruhle clearly didn’t read the room; in this case, the room being Twitter. Her personal lack of self-awareness and associated brand awareness sets her squarely in Buffoon territory. Musk roasting Stephanie Ruhle is proof yet again that he is approaching cult status.

Hopefully, Ruhle learned that we already knew: If you come for the troll king, you best not miss.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot hypocritically called out toxic political discourse days after cursing out Justice Clarence Thomas.

According to Newsweek, Lightfoot made the comment on Monday after the Fourth of July parade in Highland Park, Illinois:

“The toxicity in our public discourse is a thing that I think we should all be concerned about,” Lightfoot added. “We have got to focus on what brings us together and not what tears us apart, and we’ve got to get back to respect for each other and respect for community. That’s the thing that concerns me the most over the arc of the last two years.”

Lightfoot’s comments come on the heels of her own vitriol, cursing out Justice Thomas at a pro-abortion rally as part of her “call to arms”:

LIghtfoot then doubled down on her hateful remarks:

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Lightfoot used the same, ‘I said what I said’ headline in a fundraising appeal for campaign contributions.

Our Take…

This is the height of hypocrisy.

Much like Sen. Warren’s apparent call for violence outside of the Supreme Court, Lightfoot likewise stoked the fires of division. You don’t get to do that, and then decry the lack of civil discourse.

Not only is he is a hypocrite, but she tried to raise money off of the same hatred that she subsequently called out. Rules for you, none for Lightfoot.

Mayor Lightfoot: you’re part of the problem! Cursing out Justice Thomas on a huge stage during a rally does not invite civility.

The problems with Buffoons like Lori Lightfoot is that they simply do not care anymore. You can have “mostly peaceful” protests, just not in front of her house. You must be civil, but she can curse out Justice Thomas. And, then the audacity to raise money off of her hypocrisy! Unfortunately, this is to be expected in one-party strongholds like Chicago. There is no viable alternative for the voters there.

When cities like Chicago cannot offer up a viable opposition to hypocritical Buffoons, there is no quick fix. But, that does not mean that you stop calling out hypocrites like Lightfoot.

If Lightfoot wants a return to civility, then maybe she should start with herself.

The New York Court of Appeals ruled that Happy the Elephant is not a person.

Yes, you read that correctly. NBC reports that the state’s highest court ruled that an elephant living in the Bronx Zoo is not a person.

The Nonhuman Rights Project, an animal rights organization, brought this unusual action to “free” Happy. Without getting too bogged down in the legal buffoonery, Nonhuman Rights Project claimed Happy was being detained illegally and mistreated.

As the Chief Judge Janet DiFiore wrote:

[W]hile no one disputes that elephants are intelligent beings deserving of proper care and compassion, the courts below properly granted the motion to dismiss the petition for a writ of habeas corpus.

NYS Court of Appeals

Additionally, Chief Judge DiFiore pointed to the practical problem of ruling that animals have personhood rights. Namely, the end to farming, services animals, pet ownership, and the like.

Interestingly enough, two Judges disagreed:

[T]he legal question presented is whether the detention of an elephant can ever be so cruel, so antithetical to the essence of an elephant, that the writ of habeas corpus should be made available under the common law. The history of the “‘greatest of all writs’” demonstrates that the majority’s claimed reasons for refusing to extend it to Happy are groundless and inconsistent with its role as “the historic writ of liberty” that “cannot be curtailed by legislative action.”

Rowan D. Wilson

The Nonhuman Rights Project responded:

[T]his is not just a loss for Happy, whose freedom was at stake in this case and who remains imprisoned in a Bronx Zoo exhibit. It’s also a loss for everyone who cares about upholding and strengthening our most cherished values and principles of justice–autonomy, liberty, equality, and fairness–and ensuring our legal system is free of arbitrary reasoning and that no one is denied basic rights simply because of who they are.

Lauren Choplin

Our Take

First, well duh. Now, we’re not biologists. But, it seems to be waste of time and money for… literally everyone for stating the obvious: that an elephant is not a person.

Second, Asian elephants live, on average, about forty-eight years. Considering that Happy has lived in the Bronx Zoo, (and not Joe Exotic’s Zoo) longer than that, we doubt the claims of mistreatment.

Third, we do not know many pet owners who are willing to give up our four-legged family. So, if the Court ruled to grant Happy personhood, New York pet owners may join the exodus leaving the state.

Finally, perhaps Nonhuman Rights Projects would have better spent their money buying Happy instead of funding multiple proceedings. Granted, that might have undermined its argument that people and animals are the same. But, at least they would have avoided, in our opinion, what amounts to a frivolous lawsuit.

However, we are certain of more buffoonery to come from the Nonhuman Rights Project. In fact, Steven Wise, the litigious organization’s founder, stated, “We will take a really close look at why we lost and we’ll try to make sure that that doesn’t happen again to the extent that we can.”

But, let’s also give a dishonorable mention to Judges Jenny Rivera and Rowan D. Wilson, who actually bought the Nonhuman Rights Projects’ arguments.

Multiple media outlets have report that Washington Post demoted Taylor Lorenz from a features columnist to a lowly technology reporter.

Lorenz has been at the center of several controversies this year.

Doxxing Libs of Tik Tok

In April, Lorenz sobbed during an MSNBC interview, claiming she has “severe PTSD” from retaliatory tweets related to her reporting. “I’ve had to remove every single social tie, I have severe PTSD from this. I’ve contemplated suicide, it got really bad,” Lorenz claimed. She would later blame MSNBC for further torment, claiming the network botched her report.

Then, Lorenz published a story revealing the real name of the popular Twitter user Libs of Tik Tok. In that report, Lorenz doxxed “Libs” by publishing her home address. In an interview with reputed Buffoon Brian Stelter, Lorenz defended her “hit piece.” Badly. Lorenz claimed that she revealed the anonymous Twitter because she could have been “a foreign actor.” That, of course, was not the case.

A few months later, Lorenz find herself in a whole new controversy.

Counting YouTubers’ Money

Lorenz wrote about YouTube lawyers were making big money off of livestreams commentating the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard trial. Lorenz intimated that her targets, all pro-Depp, may be shilling for followers and cash. She also claimed that two subjects of her reporting, YouTubers ThatUmbrellaGuy and LegalBytes, had not responded to requests for comment. However, both claimed that Lorenz never reached out to either of them for comment, necessitating a correction. The piece had already been secretly edited after it was published.

Per the New York Times, Lorenz tweeted that “a miscommunication with her editor” led to the errors

The report also intimates that one editor, David Malitz, was set for a promotion which has since been rescinded.

This latest controversy may have been the straw that broke the Washington Post’s back. Mediaite reports that the Washington Post fired another writer, Felicia Sonmez, over some other drama that spilled onto Twitter. WaPo’s Executive editor, Sally Buzbee, then sent a staff memo that the paper will no longer “tolerate colleagues attacking colleagues either face to face or online.”

Our Take…

Lorenz is an egregious media hack who seek to sculpt and mold narratives and intend to sway opinion under the guise of reporting facts. In reality, hacks like Lorenz have little regards for facts or truth; she only cares about narrative.

As RedState’s Brandon Morse astutely points out:

In many ways, Washington Post writer Taylor Lorenz is a perfect example of today’s consummate leftist. She’s blinded by her own ideology to the point where self-awareness is now out of reach. She’s hypocritical to an absurd degree, self-important, and entitled.

Indeed, Lorenz is also a hypocrite, seeking sympathy for the “trauma” of being a journalist while simultaneous inflicting “trauma” of her own. Libs of Tik Tok is now receiving the same death threats Lorenz claimed to have gotten.

It’s no wonder that the Washington Post demoted Taylor Lorenz. It’s only a wonder that the Washington Post didn’t demote Taylor Lorenz sooner. Lorenz’s reporting of note has been nothing by trash stories with no real news value. Her garbage stories have resulted in targeted harassment to formerly private people. Rather than reporting news, Lorenz wants to control culture, targeting people whom she apparently feels should be “exposed.”

It’s good to see her she may have gotten a little come-uppance. But, for her part, Lorenz denies any sort of demotion.

Given the amount of journalistic malpractice Lorenz has committed, we’re better off siding with the reports over Lorenz’s word.

Videos from outside of the Supreme Court depict a shaken Sen. Elizabeth Warren, including Warren’s insurrection-like call to “fight back”.

In response to the unprecedented leak of a draft from Supreme Court Justice Alito which would overrule both Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey, Sen. Warren had a lot to say. In one video, Warren speaks shakily, expressing her anger at the latest news:

“I am angry,” said Warren, as she marched to a protest. “Angry and upset and determined.”

Warren also ripped Republicans for “plotting” to create a conservative Supreme Court majority.

“The Republicans have been working toward this day for decades,” said Warren. “They have been out there plotting, carefully cultivating these Supreme Court justices so they could have a majority on the bench who would accomplish something that the majority of Americans do not want.”

Another video showed Warren’s insurrection-like call for supporters to “fight back”.

Interestingly enough, Warren and Democrats linked that exact same phrasing used in a fundraising email sent by the RNC on January 6th, 2021 one hour before protestors breached police lines at the Capitol to the so-called “insurrection.”

Our Take…

Talk about a “Hot Mess“. Warren appears unhinged in these and other videos. But, her hypocrisy is what shines through the most.

Warren’s insurrection-like call to “fight back” outside of a government building is, apparently, perfectly acceptable. But, the RNC’s email to “fight back”, is part of a conspiracy.

See the games played here? Here’s another.

Warren purposefully misleads those around her claiming that polls show that 69% of Americans support abortion. What Warren conveniently leaves out is that surveys on abortion are much more nuanced.

But don’t take our word for it; here’s what NPR had to say after it conducted a survey in 2020:

What the survey found is a great deal of complexity — and sometimes contradiction among Americans — that goes well beyond the talking points of the loudest voices in the debate. In fact, there’s a high level of dissatisfaction with abortion policy overall. Almost two-thirds of people said they were either somewhat or very dissatisfied, including 66% of those who self-identify as “pro-life” and 62% of those who self-identify as “pro-choice.”

Not so cut and dry, is it?

Warren and other Democrats are worrying about two different things: the midterm elections and their own power. By riling up the base into a frenzy over abortion, Warren hopes to drive voters to the polls in a desperate attempt to salvage her party’s chances in the midterm elections.

Warren knows that, in the face of out-of-control inflation, economic recession and disastrous foreign policy, Democrats need a rally cry, or they will be obliterated at the polls.

Clearly, Sen. Warren has expanded her buffoonish repertoire to include hypocrisy and her temper tantrums.

Former Obama Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta blamed President Joe Biden’s Putin gaffes on the President’s Irish heritage.

You made have noticed President Biden’s Putin gaffes, several mis-statements in public concerning Russia and Vladimir Putin, have many concerned that Biden is ratcheting up hostilities. Mostly recently, Biden said Russian President Putin “cannot remain in power,” The White House later walked back those words. Biden has also told American troops in Poland to be prepared for what “[y]ou’re going to see when you’re there” in Ukraine, a statement which some reasonably misunderstood as signaling an imminent American deployment into the country. Biden even said that he would respond to any use of Russian chemical weapons “in kind“, but refused to explain what he meant in using the phrase.

Well, one person reading the Biden tea leaves is former Secretary of Defense, Leon Panetta. According to Fox News, Panetta explained his opinion on Biden’s Puttin gaffes in an interview on CNN:

I happen to think that Joe Biden, you know, he’s Irish, really has a great deal of compassion when he sees that people are suffering. And I think it overwhelmed him in the sense of seeing all of the horrors that were resulting from this war.

Former Sec. of Defense Leon Panetta

Don’t believe us? Hear it for yourself.

Our Take…

Umm… what?

As you can imagine, people on social media had thoughts.

It’s almost as if Biden’s apologists have run out of excuses. Panetta is scraping the bottom of the barrel here. If you watch the video, he’s clearly looking for something to say before he says it. This was the best he could come up with at the time on the fly.

Seems like we heard this before in some form or another.

Nonetheless, the Biden Gaffe Machine™ keeps rolling along as we head toward, possibly, another world war. We’re so glad that the “adults” are back in charge.
